Is PinIt really free?

Yes. PinIt is completely free for up to 5 users. With complete access to all functionality, excluding on-premise installation.

Which versions of Qlik Sense does PinIt support?

PinIt supports Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows only. There is currently no support for Qlik Sense Desktop or Qlik Sense Enterprise SaaS.

Do PinIt users need a Qlik Sense license?

Yes. In order to use PinIt, a user needs a valid Qlik Sense license as well. This can be a Professional license, but Analyzer and Analyzer Capacity are also supported.

Does every Qlik Sense user need a PinIt license?

No, you can assign PinIt licenses to any subset of your Qlik Sense users. For example, if you have 100 users but only want to make PinIt available to 10 users, then that is no problem.

PinIt is offered on a yearly subscription basis. You can find the full price list here.

How do I install PinIt?

PinIt is an extension and very easy to install. Import the .zip file into the QMC as an extension (you will need administrator rights for this) and head over to /extensions/pinit/pinit.html to finish the configuration.

What data is stored by PinIt?

PinIt creates two custom properties in your Qlik Sense environment (PinItLicense and PinItUserrole) as well as a single Security Rule. All data relating to pinboards is stored in our online API. This API only stores metadata / keys, for example: Pinboard X is owned by User Y and consists of Objects P, Q and R. Names and data are never stored in the API but are translated locally in your own environment.

For enterprise clients we also offer the option to host the entire solution within your environment.
